Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Manual Machinist to join our team. In this position, you will help us create tools and other components using a variety of materials and equipment. Including lathes, mills, drill presses, shapers, bandsaws, shear, punch presses, grinding machines, etc. An ideal candidate would have a few years of experience (3-5) working as a manual machinist.
Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
– Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job. Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components.
– Perform all assigned machine shop operations.
– Operate machine for milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, and polishing materials.
– Finish projects using manual tools and precision instruments, including mics & calipers.
– Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
– Performs inspections of machined products and documents results.
– Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Education requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship.
Preferred Skills:
3-5 years of manual machining experience

Must be able to follow established methods and procedures, must have good verbal and written communication skills; good organization skills; use of job-related micrometers; blueprint reading ability, and mechanical ability.
Must demonstrate attitude, ability, and willingness to contribute to a respectful team environment.
Rate of Pay:$19.00 Per Hour
